While I haven't been blogging in a while I do post on instagram regularly as alpine_luddites. I like the Instagram format best. A picture is worth a 1000 words right?
But here is an update of all the packs and bikepacking gear coming out of the shop the last two months:
The Karrimor Joe Brown
This project came about by a customer emailing me asking why I didn't build this. The truth was it was on the list of projects to get to but I said if you order it I'll build it. A lot of projects start off this way with customers asking for them. you can see all the details here: http://www.alpineluddites.com/test-products/joe-brown-rucksack
Alpine Luddites Seat Bags
I now offer 3 stock sizes in the seat bags. Full custom is still available .
After a lot of work I now have three standard sized seat bags. From top to bottom , measured for vertical clearance, the 5", 6" & the 8". The 5" is for extra small frames or FS cross country bikes. The 6" is the standard size. The 8" is for at least 10-12" of clearance. Custom options and sizing always available. more information here:http://www.alpineluddites.com/new-products/
We have started building Pinnacle rucksacks with leather side patches. below are few recent packs sent off to Japan:
The Chouinard Fish pack
A big thanks to Dane at the Cold Thistle Blogfor sending me his old Chouinard Fish pack to make a pattern from. look for it early next week.
|Dane's well used & modified Fish pack|
|the Alpine luddites version will look like the original|
I still have a back log of a few weeks on custom projects. In fact custom packs have become the biggest part of my business.
