This pack is designed to work reasonably well with a ski helmet on. the lift straps are sewn into the top seam, so it never rides up your back. It's slightly wider than my alpine packs, yet thinner for load control and not throwing you off balance. the only issue with the XS size is fitting a probe. It has to go inside the main pocket.
The pack is similar in it's approach as the Pink Turns to Blue ski mountaineering pack; there is a pleated divider between the shovel/wet gear pocket and the main bag.It is set up to carry ski's diagonally or in an A-frame configuration. I use Voile ski straps, with the aluminum, not plastic buckles, for both the tail and upper lash strap. The lower Voile ski strap is too short. The correct length strap will be pictured when it shows up.
There is a full 1/2", 12mm, high density closed cell foam pad in the back for support or to sit on. The Fabric is the Dimension Polyant VX51, with there 500/1000 D Cordura face fabric. I use the GunMetal Grey for this pack.
You can order it, And I will follow up with a phone call or email to sort out all your details: ski carry preference, back length, shoulder strap length, width, spacing, webbing size and color, and hip belt.
