I have been wearing this hoody since October. I don't stock this jacket but prefer you buy it directly from my mates at Jagged Edge in Telluride.
The Power Wool Hoody is a modern example of a classic design. The difference is the new Polartec Power Wool facric; a combination of merino wool blended with polyester and a little spandex, knitted into a lightweight, high efficiency, grid pattern fleece. With Power Wool, Polartec has produced a unique fabric with the technical properties of both fibers. By mixing a little hydrophobic Polyester in an intimate blend with the merino, the wool is allowed to open and dry much more quickly on the body, while the overall weight of the fabric goes down, and the durability goes up. In return, the super fine merino removes moisture and humidity from the yarn bundle, allowing the polyester to maintain thermal properties far longer when under high activity. The result is a garment that is light, warm and very dry to wear. Unlike the old waffle-woolie days, Power Wool dries very quickly and is much lighter and way more comfortable against the skin. Our hoody design features a body mapped combination of Power Wool fabrics and features a deep front zip ( 18" ), one good sized zippered chest pocket and a stretch, scuba-style hood. Happy to be a technical layering piece or just thrown on over a tee shirt when the sun goes down, the Power Wool Hoody gets it done in a slightly traditional way. Nothing works like wool!
The Jagged Edge Power Wool Hoody is made here in Colorado using 100% American materials.
